STEP 1 - PURCHASE & REGISTER
Buy a new MagnaFlow Catalytic Converter at the retailer of your choice. Please be sure to retain your receipt. When you are ready to recycle your old part, create a MagnaFlow Account to get started.
STEP 2 - SHIP FOR FREE
Use the MagnaFlow Account Page to access the provided shipping label. You will have 90 days to use the provided label from the time of account creation. Ship your used OEM Catalytic Converter to MagnaFlow safely and securely using our recommended steps.
STEP 3 - EVALUATION & REFUND
Refunds will be processed within 2-3 weeks after your converter is received and inspected at our facility. Once approved, you will be asked to verify the physical destination for your refund. You will receive a refund in the form of a MagnaFlow Visa® Prepaid Card valued up to $75 and mailed to you within 2 weeks thereafter.
STEP 4 - PART RECYCLED
Your work is done! You have done your part to keep things clean and earn some green. MagnaFlow will recycle the converter and reclaim its precious metals for use in the manufacturing of new converters.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
MagnaFlow customers who have recently replaced their OEM converters with a MF replacement are eligible to return their intact, OEM converters and receive a partial refund. To offer the best refund possible, the MagnaFlow Recycling for Refunds program is valid ONLY for qualifying OEM catalytic converters. While aftermarket catalytic converters do not qualify for this program, we’ll still recycle them for free. For more info, please click the eligibility button below.

Our refunds program preserves precious metals resources by extracting these materials from old converters to be reintroduced into our supply chain. To express our gratitude for helping us create more sustainable products, we’ll pass on a portion of the precious metals value to you in the form of a MagnaFlow Visa® Prepaid Card. After installation of your new replacement part, simply ship us your old OEM part at no cost!*

To qualify, converters must be OEM and most of the ceramic “brick” must still be inside of the metal body. For all eligibility requirements, see our Eligibility Guidelines.
You will receive your refund within 4-6 weeks of your returned converter being received at our facility. Refunds will be issued in the form of a MagnaFlow Visa® Prepaid Card and mailed to your indicated address.
PGM stands for Platinum Group Metals. Catalytic Converters contain 3 Platinum Group Metals: Platinum, Palladium, and Rhodium. MagnaFlow recycles these metals and uses them to make new catalytic converters.
The value depends on PGM content of the converter which is determined by year, make, and model of the vehicle it applies to, as well as the current market values of PGM. You can check to see the amount of your refund by entering your part number in the MagnaFlow Account Page.

Due to the nature of catalytic converters and how they are used, all parts need to be inspected and qualified prior to issuing a refund.
Value is based on PGM market price at the time you decide to send us your old converter. MagnaFlow will determine the price refunded to you at the time you opt-in to the program.
MagnaFlow uses state-of-the-art recycling processes to reclaim the precious metals from old catalytic converters for use in the manufacturing of new converters, reducing the need to further deplete the Earth of these limited resources.
