Corporate Responsibility
Leading Through Responsibility
At MagnaFlow, we take pride in knowing our products not only improve air quality but are manufactured in a conscientious and sustainable way. Our dedication to responsibility is another way MagnaFlow leads the way in the automotive aftermarket industry.
MagnaFlow has proudly manufactured products in North America for almost 40 years, and in 2017, we celebrated our 36-year anniversary by opening our new 280,000 square foot facility in Oceanside, California. We remain committed to supporting local North American manufacturing jobs and sourcing American-made products whenever possible.
The creation of every MagnaFlow product begins at our in-house Technical Development Center. Our team of engineers and chemists use the most advanced technology including 3D Scanning, Additive Manufacturing, Computer Aided Design (CAD), and automated robotic manufacturing processes to exceed the EPA and CARB certifications necessitated for catalytic converters. We also proudly maintain ISO 9001 certification which ensures our products consistently meet and exceed customer and regulatory requirements per the International Organization for Standardization.
At MagnaFlow, we are always looking for ways to reduce waste and close our supply chain loop. In 2018, we installed over 20,000 ft of solar panels which have produced over 1.2 million kilowatt hours of clean energy. This year, we launched our “Recycling for Refunds” program with the goal of recapturing the precious metals in old catalytic converters that would otherwise be thrown away. Along with reclaiming resources from discarded products to close our loop, sustainability at MagnaFlow means designing and manufacturing products that are engineered to last the entire life of your vehicle.
MagnaFlow not only takes care to maintain responsible practices within our organization, but also makes the effort to support the communities we call home. We’ve chosen to partner with two non-profit groups that are committed to preserving the environment at both a national and local level. In 2020, we committed to planting 10,000 trees as a partner of the National Forest Foundation, an organization dedicated to the protection and reforestation of America’s 193 million acres of national forests. As a San Diego based manufacturing company, we give back to our local community through a partnership with San Diego Coastkeeper, a team of advocates, scientists, and educators working to protect and restore our coastline and waterways.
