A Morning of Sun, Fun, Cool Rigs and Great Folks
First and foremost, we would like to heartily thank everyone who turned out last Saturday to make our first MagnaFlow Meetup presenting Rigged for Dirt such a roaring success! With several hundred attendees, more than 20 manufacturers and retailers, as well as 70 or so vehicles, it was quite the turnout for the first event of its kind ever held at our headquarters in Oceanside, California. Special thanks as well to our friends Frank Martinez (Ig: @trucky_mctruckface) and Ali Straightsound (Ig: @katethejeep) from the Rigged for Dirt podcast (Ig: @riggedfordirt), as well as RFD co-sponsors Rebel Off Road (@rebeloffroad) and Milestar Tires (Ig: @milestar.tires) for helping us to make this congregation of awesome rigs and off-roaders of all kinds a reality.
Our goal with the event was to celebrate the off-roading and overland communities by providing a venue for everyone to hang out with friends, family and a welcoming crowd of likeminded outdoor enthusiasts. As such, admission was open to all, the community spread the word, and folks drove from all over Southern California to attend. In addition to trading stories and tricks of the trail with the likes of Brad Kowitz (Ig: @trailrecon), learning about responsible recreation with Tread Lightly! (Ig: @treadlightlyteam), and planning future adventures over complimentary coffee, the group couldn’t get enough of the chipotle shrimp tacos whipped up by Marco Hernandez of OVRLNDX (Ig: @ovrlndx), known on social media for the delicious meals he makes possible out of his everything-overland equipped Wrangler.
Bringing the local community together to celebrate what we love is what this event was all about, and it was great to see you all last weekend.
