Kevin Hart brought his friends and family by the MagnaFlow booth on Day 1 at SEMA for the debut of The Kevin Hart Collection and unveiling of his latest dream car made reality: a 1987 Buick Grand National GNX that the comedian has dubbed “the Dark Knight.”
Kevin absolutely loved how the vehicle turned out and was quick to thank everyone from Dave Salvaggio to MagnaFlow, HRE and more for all the work put into the vehicle over the course of about eight months.
In addition to a bespoke MagnaFlow exhaust the car has been thoroughly yet tastefully upgraded, including a stealthy carbon fiber hood, splitter and custom front fascia to name just a few of the enhancements made to the vehicle’s original design. Kevin also took note of the restored Grand National interior upgraded with modern touches, which he really appreciated.
To stay true to the spirit of the stock GNX, Kevin and his design team decided to stick with a V6 for the Buick’s engine but opted for more modern performance in the form of a V6 from Cadillac’s V-Series. Beyond some surgically targeted upgrades the vehicle fully embraces its 80s roots, T-top and all.
At the GNX’s unveiling Kevin talked about how much cars and car culture mean to him, and how grateful he is to all the extremely talented people that he relies upon to help make his vehicular visions a reality. We can’t think of a better way to kick off the debut of The Kevin Hart Collection than by having the man himself stop by so that we can join him in celebrating the latest addition to his garage. Thank you to Kevin and everyone else who helped make the Dark Knight a reality.
