MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust
MAGNAFLOW CROSSES THE FINISH LINE IN STYLE AT SEMA
October 30th - November 2nd, 2007 in Las Vegas

The MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust booth at the SEMA show was buzzing with activity this year, as record crowds swamped the boothseeking autographs from spokespersons Mario and Marco Andretti, Boyd and Jo Coddington, Dennis Anderson, and MagnaFlow’s new model, Jocelyn Ireland. The autograph lines were long and boisterous as attendees brought out their cherished collectibles for signing and enjoyed receiving new limited edition posters of their favorite spokesperson. According to sources at SEMA, 120,000 attendees were registered—more than ever before. Also spotted in the MagnaFlow booth were Jimmy Shine from TLC’s Hard Shine, musician Kenny Wayne Shepherd, who stopped in to deliver kudos on his MagnaFlow exhaust, and Chris Jacobs, the popular Overhaulin’ host.

MagnaFlow’s truck and trailer outside in the Overhaulin’ area was also quite popular as the display vehicles were a hit, especially John Parsons’ race-prepped ’67 Nova, which was on the cover of the September 2007 issue of Popular Hot Rodding magazine. Gary Meadors’ Boyd Coddington-built ’56 Chrysler 300B impressed with its highly detailed Hemi, Robby Gordon’s race-prepped Monster Avalanche Baja chase truck drew a lot of looks, and Advanced Truck’s Boyd Coddington edition 2008 Chevy Duramax was an attention-getter. If you couldn’t get your fill there, you could look at the over 100 modified vehicles scattered throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center that featured MagnaFlow performance exhaust systems.
On the Overhaulin’ set the crew diligently worked to completely revamp a 1954 Ford Crestline, actually converting the 4-door sedan to a 2-door speedster, complete with two-tone green paint and a variety of go-fast parts including a MagnaFlow dual exhaust system. MagnaFlow Engineering Director Richard Waitas spent late nights on his back under the car to make sure the finishing touches on the exhaust came out perfect. It turned out to be the perfect 50’s cruiser for a ‘50’s-style rockin’ gal!

Another show highlight for the staff at MagnaFlow was a surprise SEMA Global Media Award by the international press for the new dual stainless steel diesel particulate filter-back exhaust system for the 2008 Ford 6.4L PowerStroke. This was voted on by a panel of 50 international journalists and MagnaFlow is very proud to have been chosen. This exhaust is only one of nine systems for the Ford. Chevy and Dodge systems are available for the new model diesels as well. All MagnaFlow new products displayed at the booth were received well by both media and attendees, and there were many compliments on the whole vintage garage-themed display.
On a final note, MagnaFlow would like to thank their distributors and retailers for helping make the show such a success. We enjoyed speaking with all of you and discussing your needs and plans for 2008. We hope the success of the show is an indicator of an equally successful year to come.
