Carbureted or injected K&N has an application for it. For Fourth-Gen Camaros, K&N offers fuel-injection performance kits. The kits reduce intake restriction by straightening airflow, which in turn allows the vehicle's engine to inhale a larger volume of air than the OEM air filter assembly. The new rush of air means more usable power and torque throughout the engine's rpm range. The best part about it is the fact that FIPK's are designed to replace the original air filter case without tampering emission standards, which makes them 50 |

state legal. Remember though, breathing is a two-stage process, inhaling and exhaling. Now that K&N is allowing the engine to inhale greater amounts of air, we need an exhaust system to compensate by allowing us to exhale more air. MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust has a bolt-on catback system for Fourth-Gen Camaros that wil allow the car to not only breathe better, but sound cool as well. The cat-back systems include stainless steel mandrel-bent 3-inch tubing with polished 3 1/2-inch stainless steel rear exit tips, a 5x8x18-inch |

muffler, and mounting hardware.
Although Project BAMF, when purchased, was complete with a brand "x" injection kit, and cat-back system, we decided to give the K&N and MagnaFlow setup a shot to show us what they're made of. When it was all said and done, we picked up six horsepower. Now, before you start screaming, "That's all?!" remember, we picked up six horsepower with this setup over the other setup. Just imagine the possibilities over the stock setup! |
