Once the '04 Ford F-150 got back to MagnaFlow from the installation of the cat-back, it took a trip on MagnaFlow's dynomometer for the "After" shots. 14.7 horsepower and 12.6 ft.-lbs. of torque --- great results!!! |

Rapid Transit in San Pedro, California, is a successful, auto parts and engine machine shop presently undergoing a transition. The expansive operation includes a retail auto parts store, a huge, fully equipped and staffed auto repair shop, and equally large and equipped auto body shop with paint booth, and an owner named Tim Plant. Tim is bound and determined to transform his company into one of Southern California’s leading light truck conversion companies and automotive centers.
At the very beginning of 2004, Plant was T-boned in an unfortunate traffic mishap that ended the long career of his handsomely prepared and immaculate ’95 red Chevy pickup. He immediately bought a spanking new ’04 Ford F-150 Supercrew with 5.4L power and all the factory goodies. His master plan was to slap as much of the products that he sells onto his new Ford so he can use it as a rolling sales tool.
In any event, Magnaflow agreed to run Plant’s F-150 on their dynometer before and after the installation of its brand-new, side-by-side twin pipe cat-back exhaust system for new Fords like Plant’s. And Plant arranged to have the installation performed in his own hop. Ownership has its privileges!
Now, let’s cut to the chase. The accompanying photos show the highlights of the very easy install of the handsome, compact and efficient Magnaflow “wide open and straight through” system. The dyno readout shows us that the install resulted in an increase in power of 14.7 horsepower and 12.6 ft.-lbs. of torque. Check it out! |
