Stock Exhaust System
Notice how the stock exhaust system is not only terribly crimped, restricting exhaust flow, but that after just a few months it has already become rusty. Also notice how short the factory tips are.

MagnaFlow Muffler
It is a shame that these pieces are on the underside of the car! With looks this good they should be where everyone can see them.
MagnaFlow to Stock Comparison
Notice the difference betwen the stock exhaust tips and the MagnaFlow exhaust tips. Full-length polished stainless tips are 3 1/2 inches in diameter. These are NOT chrome plated like some other exhaust systems, these are highly polished stainless steel tips. This means that they won't rust and the finish won't flake off or wear out.

MagnaFlow makes cat-back and H-pipe catalytic converter systems to fit 86 - present Mustangs including SVT Cobras. Systems range in size from three inch diameter to three and a half inches in diameter. All cat-back systems are stainless steel, mandrel bent, and have polished stainless steel tips. MagnaFlow also includes a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the car that you installed the system on.
We ordered a cat-back system for our Vortech Supercharged Mongoose99 Project car. When the system arrived we were very impressed with the polished mufflers and tips. The welds on the mufflers were perfect and the mirror-like finish was fabulous!
Installation is a snap and can be accomplished using simple hand tools. If you have a Mustang GT you'll probably need to cut the factory exhaust behind the mufflers for easiest removal of the old system. While you can use a regular hack saw to do this, you'll probably save a lot of time and frustration if you have a "Sawz-All" power cutting tool. 1999+ SVT Cobra owners can simply remove the factory exhaust system as one piece with no cutting required. With either the GT or 1999+ SVT Cobra system you can accomplish this install on regular jackstands, but once again access to a lift will speed things up tremendously.
The MaganaFlow Cat-back comes with everything you need to assemble the system. Stainless steel clamps ensure that each part of the system will remain rust-free throughout its lifespan. While there is no need to weld the system you can certainly have this done to have the system become a "permanent" installation. This will also prevent exhaust leaks from starting after the system expands and contracts during the first few heat cycles.
