Just about everyone interested in
increasing performance of their Mustang starts with their exhaust system. Not
only does changing the exhaust give the Mustang a throaty growl, but it can also
increase horsepower. Like everyone else, the exhaust system was one of the first
areas we decided to start modifying on our Vortech Supercharged Project Mongoose
99.
Unlike most people, however, we
decided to use a different system than the popular Dynomax or Flowmaster systems
that are so commonly found on the Mustang. Since the Vortech Supercharged
Mongoose 99 car is a daily driver we needed to have an exhaust that was
relatively tame yet still offered good performance. We also didn't want the car
to sound like every other Mustang on the street. Enter MagnaFlow.
